I mean... This drama had a huge and I mean HUGE potential , great casting, the acting, and the story elements are so original but the plot is just too weak. Super unique and compelling start, comedy on point and it was super interesting, but just waited for it to pick up and never did. It was the last of the three of the trilogy I had left to watch and this was definitely the worst one. If you skip this one ,you won't be missing anything.
The second part of the series does not follow the same story line as the first one, Universe's star, though the fantasy element is all over it. The story is about a guy who, having broken up with his girlfriend, having failed his exams again and having been kicked out of his house, takes part in testing a new drug. The side effects, however, changed him into a kind of super man. The story was nice and kind of funny, with the guy who has been a loser for most of his life finally getting what he wanted from life. However, the romance was kind of weak, though it got better towards the end. Surely, the ending was way better than the one in Universe's star, as it had a closure and a satisfying conclusion. The performances were good and the production nice enough, so 6 out of 10.
Ah this was so cute! I wasn't sure what to expect from this mini-series type of kdrama, but I really enjoyed it. Yoon Shi Yoon is one of my favorite actors, he does both serious, dark roles and goofy, comedy roles equally well. The story was simple but effective, and the "super powers" weren't really the point, rather it was a message of love and self-acceptance. I thought this was quite well done, with effective story telling and good acting all around. There are only a few characters, which is good since this was so short, with the focus solely on our two leads who had great, natural chemistry. Overall this was an enjoyable watch and if you want to watch something quick and cute with a nice message behind it this is a great pick!
