Emergency room doctor Ling Cheng-Xi inadvertently released ghost Nie Xiao-Qian from her seal. The moment she saw him, she recognized him as her star-cross lover from 500 years ago and wanted to pick up their relationship where they left off. He, however, mistook her for a crazy, stalker patient who nobody seemed to notice. When exorcist Yan Qi got wind of her return, he tried to sever her fixation on Ling and help her reincarnate.
